I want to introduce a new day to you…it’s inspiration Friday! What is that you ask? Well, I want to encourage you (my readers) to send in photos of say a wall display, a new office setup, a purged pantry, anything really that a Fine Green Design entry inspired you to take on; and perhaps any tips or ideas you’ve learned along the way.
So let’s kick it off with Lane’s email…

Hello Adriana!
I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your blog and there was one in
particular that really caught my eye. You recently wrote about Picture Arranging
Perfection. I have wanted to do this in my home for quite some time but never
really knew exactly how to do it. Where do I find beautiful old frames and
photos to fill them! After looking through your many examples as well as
different styles, I was inspired more than ever. My husband and I recently moved
into a new home that has a beautiful staircase with a massive wall and it had to
be filled! I spent some time going to various yard sales and thrift stores and
found some beautiful frames. I also had some of my own more modern frames but
all mixed together they worked great. And instead of going nuts trying to find a
ton of photos on my own, I contacted a dear friend of mine who is an amazing
photographer. She agreed that I may display some of her work. So with her
beautiful photography, some wedding photos and some family portraits it all came
together perfectly! I did discover that hanging them…well, you just have to go
for it and in the end you might have to switch some around here and there. The
end result is worth a little maneuvering!
Thank you so much!!

stairwayDon’t you just love what she’s done with her walls?!? The stairwell is stunning with the eclectic mix of frames, photos and art. The size of the frames are perfect for that space. The three photos in the hallway are hung at just the right height, talk about perfection.

Beautiful execution! Now that inspires me! I have wanted to do this eclectic mix of frames with family and extended family photos to cover my powder room walls forever. I saw this one time in a friends house, all done in black and white, and it was stunning. I just keep procrastinating thinking I don’t have the perfect frames, where do I start, will they all go together. Way to just get in done.
